Taco Pasta Bombs

This is a winner. Oh my goodness were these scrumptious! I cannot take credit; this recipe came from a Facebook Reel. The plate licker sent me a link the other night and suggested we make these. The next, night I did just that. The guy that posted them is @4everkelz if you wanna follow.

The recipe was pretty easy. Not very technical, just took some time to prep.

I boiled jumbo pasta shells, al dente. Those were hard to find. My husband and I went to 3 grocery stores and looked at 3 more online to see if they had them. Finally, we found our treasure. Jumbo shell hunting turned into a spur of the moment Day Date at Applebee’s. Yes, I have been singing the song ever since. It’s one of my favorites.

While those were boiling, I browned the ground beef and added taco seasoning. I let both cool for a bit, to make it easier on my hands to assemble. While cooling the pasta and meat, I chopped up some cheese chunks. Then I set up shop at the table and stared putting them together. A spoonful of taco meat and a chunk of cheese into a shell, topped with another shell.

Once I had all the shells stuffed with goodness, I sprayed a little cooking spray and started air frying in batches. I kept the over on warm for the finished bombs to sit while I finished up the remaining batches.

The Reel from 4everkelz made a dip with taco seasoning and sour cream. This is where I changed things up a bit. I mixed sour cream, mayo, ranch seasoning and cilantro. I did this earlier in the day to give the flavor time to mesh well while chilling in the fridge. It was a great flavor to dip the taco bombs in. We served with a side of rice.

Hell yes, we are doing this again. But we will try some other flavor combos for the filling.
